Commercial Air Conditioning

Commercial Services

Air conditioning systems are available in many sizes, typical systems range from 18,000 Btu to 60,000 Btu.

A/C systems are rated by Seasonal Energy Efficiency Ratio or SEER rating. The higher the SEER rating, the more efficient it will operate. The lower the SEER rating the more it will cost to operate.

We are currently in a mandated time period to which the refrigerant used for residential and commercial systems is being transistioned to a non-chlorine based refrigerant.

Roof Top /Packaged Systems:

These units are typically functional for heating and cooling on a larger scale or commercial roof top application.

Package units also have an option called an “Economizer” that will use cooler outside air for cooling without turning on the air conditioning circuit compressor. This in turn saves money on the cooling operation of a system. There are many different options on these types of units to fit many different applications.

Geothermal Heat Pumps:

Standard A/C and heat pumps are commonly known as an air to air system. The system utilizes air to cool and transfer temperature to the components in the refrigeration circuit. A geothermal heat pump or A/C utilizes the below ground temps and water to transfer the temperatures into the system to extract the heat or cooling temperatures needed. The foot print of a geothermal system varies. The loop (external heat exchanger) can be installed horizontally, vertically or in a pond.

Ductless A/C Systems:

A/C systems that do not require ducting are called ductless split systems, these systems are manufactured by Mitsubishi, EMI, Sanyo, LG and Samsung.

Air Conditioning Brands:

There are several different types of air conditioners that are available. Many residential and light commercial systems from Bryant, Carrier, Luxaire, Goodman Mfg. and Heil are available in various efficiencies. Many sizes and many applications.
